Books in print double in a decade

According to USA Today, the number of books in print more than doubled from 1993 to 2003. While part of the trend is due to economic growth, I think a major part of the trend is due to the Internet and the ease with which new authors can promote and research their ideas. The music industry would do well to take note of the Internet’s potential as a promotion and distribution medium rather than a threat.

I’ve been so busy planning the wedding that I haven’t been able to check out your site lately (and I’ve totally neglected my own site for the time being). I thought your top 20 worst Americans list was intriguing. What is your rationale behind putting Hillary above Bill on the list? For that matter, what’s your rationale behind putting the Clintons on the list in the first place? Just curious.

Though Hillary is a more explicit socialist than Bill, Bill is responsible for appeasing terrorists and engaging in policies that ultimately led to 9/11. Neither of them really belongs on the list – I probably just read to many conservatives sites while I was writing it.

Oh, I just came across this quotes by the Clintons:

“When we got organized as a country and we wrote a fairly radical Constitution with a radical Bill of Rights, giving a radical amount of individual freedom to Americans “- Bill Clinton
“We can’t be so fixated on our desire to preserve the rights of ordinary Americans. - Bill Clinton ”
“The purpose of government is to rein in the rights of the people - Bill Clinton ”
“If the personal freedoms guaranteed by the Constitution inhibit the government’s ability to govern the people, we should look to limit those guarantees.” - Bill Clinton
“We must stop thinking of the individual and start thinking about what is best for society.” - Hillary Clinton
