Firefox 1.0
Firefox 1.0 is out! You should download a copy from my website right now!
If you haven’t heard of Firefox before, it’s a new web browser descended from Mozilla and Netscape. Compared to Internet Explorer, it is faster, more secure, more customizable, theme-able and extensible. It’s designed to be compatible with the latest internet standards, so you see websites as their authors intended you to. Firefox also features some must-have features like tabbed browsing, pop-up management, built-in website syndication, and access to your favorite search engine right from the browser. Even the U.S. government recommends it – so, uh, you know it’s good!
Thanks bunches, David! Now all of those great extensions I had don’t work anymore. Plus my bookmarks don’t all fit on the bookmark toolbar anymore. Now I have to deal with this stupid arrow thing. Oh, now I see the problem with my bookmarks; I had this great extesion that made my reload and stop button into one button, and now it’s gone, so there’s not enough room on the toolbar. I hope you’re happy. I’ll bet you’re sitting at your computer right now snickering, thinking to yourself, “ha, I got those stupid fools. I’ve spent years buliding up their trust, and, now that I have it, they’ll download Firefox 1.0 and it will kill their extensions that they loved so dearly.” That’s exactly what you’re thinking, isn’t it? Yeah, well your thinking has horrible grammar. How do you like them apples? Huh? You like it? I bet you do. I’ll bet you’re thinking to yourself right now, “I would like some apples.” I’ll also bet that you get up and eat an apple. Yeah, well I hope it has a worm in it. That’s right, I said it, a worm. And I hope you only find half of a worm. On second thought, that’s nasty. Stop eating that apple, David! Check that thing for worms. No worms? Ok then, bye.
