1 in 31 U.S. Adults are Behind Bars, on Parole or Probation

1 in 31 U.S. Adults are Behind Bars, on Parole or Probation.  The majority of these convicts are morally innocent – they are political prisoners – victims of the governments “war” on forbidden plants and chemicals.

I wonder how this percentage compares with Stalinist Russia?  No, I’m not equating the two.  But when masked men burst into your home at night to shoot you or drag you away, you might feel that they are not so different.

I’ve always thought that crimes in which the perp did not violate anyone’s rights or threaten to, were political crimes. I still think so.

Saying they should not be arrested for their activities–such as consuming, owning, or selling street drugs–isn’t the same as saying they are morally innocent. Drug users, prostitutes, and similar individuals may or may not be moral. For sure, though, they should not be arrested unless they are violating other individuals’ rights.

If the USA and its allies, if any, were to wage total war against Islamofascists, one of the first acts of Congress, after making an objective, written declaration of war, would be to abolish all drug laws, thus deflating the enormous profits of drug dealers around the world–including those who finance the enemies of Western Civilization.

Conservatives — those individuals whose highest ideological values are God, Tradition, Nation, and Family — would be outraged, but then, conservatives have more in common with the enemy than they do with Western Civilization.

  3. I guess what I meant to say to say is that they are morally innocent of a crime. I didn’t want to say that they are legally innocent, or merely that they ought not to be prosecuted. I guess there isn’t a simple term to convey innocence in the sense of not having violated anyone’s rights.
